Not everyone wants or lives in a situation that allows them to use incense in rituals. Smoke can irritate lungs and set off fire alarms -- incense is still burning organic matter. But for many folks, fragrance is still a critical component of cleansing, setting intentions, evoking spirits, and other elements of ritual practice. For folks who can't or don't want to involve incense, we are pleased to provide our ritual room sprays, which utilize our ritual oils in a liquid spray base.
The concept of the evil eye spans many cultures and beliefs, all of which share the basic premise that the envy or ill will of others can intentionally or unintentionally cause harm to others with a look. For millennia, cultures have devised apotropaic (“turn-away”) talismans and charms to repel the damaging impacts of the evil eye. This ritual spray was created with herbs traditionally used for this purpose, particularly rosemary, basil, and rue.
